Welcome to the great "Web it!" CD-ROM by Ubyte Multimedi@ Design. This CD-ROM contains over 20,000 clip arts in more than 300 different directories for the use in HTML documents.

• Every clip art has been selected and checked for its "internetability".
  
  
• All images on this CD-ROM are either in .GIF or .JPG format. These two bitmap formats are the most used image types in the World Wide Web. Therefore all used files for this collection are very small in size.
  
  
• All images of this collection are collected from the web.
  
  
• At the time of surfing for these pictures, we only took non-copyrighted pictures. However, due to the large amount of images in this collection, it is possible that some clip arts may defiate from this rule.
  
  
• All clip arts taken from this CD-ROM, may be used on private homepages only.
  
  
• All clip arts are sorted in over 300 folders. To keep the survey of the amount of pictures simple, we created HTML-Scripts for easy access. You only need a few mouse clicks to get from e.g. flags to dividers.
  
  
• All backdrops are additionally stored as BMP images on this CD-ROM. They can be used directly under Windows95^® as backdrops or somewhere else.

The search through this CD-ROM has been made to be as easy as possible. If you are just beginning to surf on the internet or if you are using this CD for the first time, you will find our navigation system a little bit strange; but after a few mouse clicks you will get more familiar and you will love it.

To make your first steps as easy as possible, here are some hints for you:

• If you want to save backdrop images or a single picture onto your hard disk, you simply click with the right mouse button on the preferred picture (similar by the most web browsers). There you can choose "save as...". At the following file requester you can keep the given filename or type in a new one to save the image. These pictures can be used directly without converting in your own HTML documents.

• On nearly every page you'll find four navigation buttons. There is only one difference: They have an other function if they are used in folders or in full screen view of backdrop images.

  
  
  • (3D/Static)  and  (Animated/Fire & Lights)

    With these two buttons you can navigate through the different directories. The left arrow will display the previous directory and the right arrow the following dir. Beside these both buttons you can read a half shine text with the name of the previous and the next directory.
    If you are using the fullscreen view of backdrop images, you can get to the next or previous picture by a simple mouse click on these buttons.

    By clicking on the "Home" button you get back to the main index at every position of your search.

    Example:
    

    You are now at "Backdrops/Modern/Pattern" and you click on the "Home" button. The main index tree will be presented. From here you can directly access all the different directories and sub directories contained on this CD-ROM.

    If you click at the "Back" button you will access the parent folder of the main directory tree.

    Example:
    

    You are now again at "Backdrops/Modern/Pattern". If you click on the "Back" button, the folder called "Backdrops/Modern/" will be shown. There you can choose the sub directory you want to continue your search in. After a few click on the "Back" button you will be again at the main index tree.

    
    

• If you are actually using the full screen view of backdrop images you can also save this image on your HD as well. Simply press the rightsided mouse button over the clear area and choose the "save" option. The only thing you have to know, is not to press the right mouse button if you are pointing with your mouse pointer at the test picture. Then you will save this picture and not the background picture.

• Before you start your internet browser you should be sure to have enough free memory or hard disk space. On operating systems with virtual memory there should be no problems; However, directories with many larger pictures can cause your hard disk to run more often than usually.

• You might be perhaps surprised, that "Animated"-type subdirectories contain "motionless"clip arts, which are not moving all the time. This is, because some internet browsers repeat animated GIF pictures only one time or for some loops. If you are viewing clip arts at the beginning of a page, it is possible that some pictures at the end of the page have already stopped. At the time of sorting these pictures we put all clip arts who consists of more than one single picture and who are animated at least one time in the folders "Animated".

• Some clip arts on this CD-ROM have a white border or a colored background. These clip arts can only be used on backgrounds with the corresponding color. If you have the right software you can remove these borders or convert the graphic files to another format or background color. From our side it was not possible to do this task with all 20,000 clip arts.
